The City of Torrance became a “Cool City” in April 2007, pledging to reduce carbon dioxide pollution. The Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce, in order to align with Federal and State initiatives, desired to promote efforts to “go green” to local businesses. As a result, a partnership formed for the establishment and maintenance of www.GreenTorrance.com. On a volunteer basis, our partner, Pat, took on this project by leading the design, navigation, goals and featured resources.
